Liz Childers
M.Ed., LPC
I believe in helping individuals find agency within their lives. It is also my philosophy that regardless of individual challenges in life, everyone should have access to the tools of self-improvement. As a therapist, my goal is to empower clients by helping them gain insight into how their thoughts and behaviors impact one another. My experience as a transgender woman has also taught me the importance of having appropriate support whenever someone is trying to make a significant change in life.
I have experience working with individuals struggling with substance use, trauma, homelessness, adjustment issues, and suicidal ideation. I’ve worked with clients in several stages of life including adolescents and adults who come from a variety of different backgrounds. I currently specialize in working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community with a focus on gender identity.

Emma K. Moates
I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist and a native of Alabama. As a clinician, my role is to assist you with setting and maintaining goals that are rooted in your unique core values. I provide gender affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming care. I am an advocate for body compassion, and the “health at every size” philosophy.
I work with issues pertaining to grief and loss, anxiety and depression, and PTSD. I have experience working with folks who are recovering from domestic and intimate partner violence, process addictions, substance misuse and eating disorders, with a focus on harm reduction. I also provide Ethical Non-monogamy and Poly-affirming care for individuals and couples. If you are seeking non-verbal, alternative forms of healing such as musical, expressive arts and play therapy, I offer that as well.
As a queer woman growing up in the Southeast, I have learned that adequate support is fundamental to growth. It’s never too late to ask for help! Understanding the many layers of one’s identity in the culture can be challenging yet can lead to a manageable and joyful life. I believe in the power of mindfulness-based practices, engaging the five senses, and returning to the wisdom your body has to offer. I work with adolescents, adults of all ages, couples and families. I seek to practice radical gentleness in a world that can be harsh and challenging.

Katie Beaugez
LPC
My name is Katie, and I provide mental health therapy for adults in Alabama.
As a therapist, I focus on providing support for clients as we explore healing, growth, and self-understanding. While I work with adults of all backgrounds, I specialize in providing therapy for the LGBTQ+ community and people with disabilities. My approach to therapy is person-centered and holistic. I utilize Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and somatic therapy techniques to meet each person where they are, tailoring our work to fit your needs.
My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can connect with yourself, find your inner strength, and move toward the life you want to build. I’m here to offer some suggestions, but mostly just to listen. I believe that every person deserves support, and the right support can help us become the best version of ourselves.

Elizabeth Allred
LICSW
I believe that every individual is the expert of their own life, and I approach therapy with this guiding principle at the forefront of my work. I understand that each person’s experiences, wants, and needs are unique, and that the most transformative part of therapy can sometimes be the act of looking inwardly and exploring the factors that contribute to our distress. I also believe that understanding the “why” behind our actions and feelings can help remove the power they seem to hold over us, allowing for meaningful change. When we bring awareness to the underlying causes of our behavior, we unlock the ability to make choices that better align with our true desires and values.
I have extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community, those managing chronic medical conditions like HIV, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), and organ transplants, and those with a history of trauma. My approach is eclectic and I combine techniques from Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy.
I believe in a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy where my role is to meet you where you are and support you in exploring your own resilience. Together, we’ll work to heal from past wounds, find solutions, and build lasting strategies to navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can reflect, heal, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity in who you truly want to be.
